I will tell you this. Most teachers I talk to would love to see the money spent looking into why so many kids get to school unable to read at all and afflicted with abysmal apathy.<br /><br />How about 100 mill to look into that. We are insulted that we are being singled out as the &quot;problem&quot;.<br /><br />Not to worry. Teachers dont know about this as they were left out of the process. Don&#39;t let Ms. Elia blow smoke. Teachers were kept in the dark and this will come back to haunt everyone who thinks this this &quot;gift&quot; is in our interests. She got the so called &quot;union&quot; on-board but I will assure you even CTA members were clueless about this. This will go NOWHERE without teacher buy-in and I cant see how any intelligent teacher will accept the assumption that they are the problem. You will get lots of folks jumping on the &quot;mentor&quot; positions but who will choose them?<br /><br />We will see. <br /><br />You can sugar coat it but it is what it is.<br /><br />What dont you throw it out there? <br /><br />You are the only board member courageous enough to ask difficult questions and the perception exists that you actually care about what teaches think.<br /><br />Please ask the question.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
