All I see and hear is poor grammar, broken thoughts, referenced cyber-bullying, distracted comprehension, copy and paste answers/papers (plagiarism), incoherent street expressions passing for communication, and bluetooth-based cheating on tests and exams.
Students will always adapt technology to their immediate needs - we MUST give them the substance known as education.
Shiny boxes and gimmicks are the empty calories of our system.
I didn't know diddly in 11th grade and still respect those adults who pointed it out.
Thank God they insisted I learn how to learn.
Teacher are wondering wht the Gates money is not for technology--their area of expertise and a sore need in our scdhools- but to "fix" teachers--NOT their area of expertise.
