Since 2006 I have had the honor of representing all Hillsborough County children and voters...I created this blog in 2007 and have welcomed the opportunity for feed back throughout my term.

I still want your input. If you think something is wrong, then tell me how it can be better. If you have information that would help our children, employees, or taxpayers, this is the place to share.

Glad to see her leave Hillsborough County if she gets the job! Hate to see her move into a job where she can screw the rest of Florida's public schools!
I would love to see "one of our own" move up to a position that could also help our district. Unless I'm missing something, I don't think Ms. Elia has the skills to be the one.
The public record of her various "mis ques" will be too much to overcome.
Aside from a more "courteous" tone not much would change in the district if she got the job.
Mrs Elia is a candidate that would succeed in Tallahassee. She rarely rocks the boat, and when she does, she refuses to listen and plows ahead regardless of the consequences.
I really can't understand how she has attained her current position without the skills required to meet people on the front lines without a script or her aides in tow. I can only surmise that certain members of the board are the same way.
